GPMC has performed over 150 voyages during the period June 2016 to June 2017 and delivered over 2.4 Million Tons of Gabbro Aggregates to Qatar Ports in this period. Since June 2017 till now GPMC achieved delivery of over 1.0 Million Tons of Gabbro Aggregates to Qatar.
Gabbro is a coarse-grained and usually dark-colorer igneous rock. It is formed as magma cooled slowly in the crust. Igneous rocks with similar composition are basalt (extrusive equivalent of dolerite or micro gabbros instead). Much like basalt, gabbro has many uses due to its durability. The rock commonly referred to as black granite in the building trades is actually almost always gabbro.

We are proud to be collaborators for the esteemed project, where Gabbro aggregates supplied by GPMC is being used for this venture since October 2016 till date. The total material used to supply the project is approximately 1.8 million tons.
Stevedoring & Transportation of Aggregates for Arabian Quarries at Al Ruwais
With the experience gained in stevedoring and transportation, we are fully capable of handling such operations for company bringing their barges for discharging at Al Ruwais or any other port in Qatar where such operations are called for. We have successfully supported Arabian Quarries in all their stevedoring and transportation arrangements for their barges discharging at Al Ruwais Port.
Al Wakrah Bypass Road project in Qatar
Our supplied aggregates are being used for the esteemed project executed by our clients since December 2016 to date. The project includes building of a 11km-long road comprising ten lanes and four future lane sections with additional collectors and distributor roads, frontage roads and ramps. Total Project Supply Value is approximately 1.1 million tons.
Stevedoring & Transportation of Aggregates from Al Ruwais to QPMC Yard at Ras Laffan
We were selected as exclusive partners to supply gabbro to We were awarded an exclusive stevedoring and transport contract for all services at Ruwais for the QPMC barges discharged for both Gabbro and Limestone between June 2016 to February 2017.Our turnaround time of discharge was maintained at 400 m/tons per hour per barge with excellent management of discharging 4 barges at a time. An approximate of 1.3 million tons of gabbro and approximately 500,000 ton of limestones were discharged.
Supply of Aggregates to QPMC at Al Ruwais from Ras Al Khaima
As one of the main partners to supply gabbro to fulfil QPMC’s contribution to Qatar Strategic Planning Project between June 2016 and February 2017, we supplied QPMC with almost 1.3 million tons of Gabbro from Stevin Rock, Ras Al Khaimah Quarries.
